The Department's flagship program - Bachelor of Law or LL.B. - emphasizes integrated and effective transfer of knowledge in the specialized areas of legislation, constitutional and legal analysis, comparative study of legal systems, theories of political science and international affairs, and introduction to the contemporary research methodologies. There are over 650 students currently enrolled at the Department of Law and Political Science at Altaqwa University.
The Bachelor of Laws or LL.B. is a four year multidisciplinary program. It promotes a technical and professional discipline nurturing a new generation of Afghan experts. Since 2009, 200 students have graduated from LLB. Most of them are currently working with national and international organizations. LLB department has good networking with national and international organizations.
The Department offers responsive student counseling, ensuring that the students make the right decisions about their careers and academic programs. Successful graduates must complete eight semesters achieving 138 credits. The minimum requirement for graduation is GPA of 2.00 out of 4.0. Students must complete the four year program within a six year period to qualify for graduation.
