Al-Taqwa University Signs Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) With the Rokhan Institute of Higher Education in Afghanistan.
Al-Taqwa University and Rokhan Institute of Higher Education in Afghanistan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 21, 2023, to enhance the localization and capabilities of both Universities. The primary purpose of this MoU is to facilitate the initiation of collaborations between Al-Taqwa University and Rokhan Institute of Higher Education, to support research, review and measure data for the work performed, develop and exchange best practices, capacity building, and other forms of academic partnerships to tackle the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) particularly SDG 4: Quality Education.
Both Universities can benefit from this MoU to increase the academic and research footprints on local, regional and global issues facing the UN SDGs. Also, our faculty and students can collaborate on research with national peers that can ultimately prepare them to contribute to their economies. There is always room for universities to adopt local, regional and global best practices, so both institutions can mutually contribute to programs, contents, and processes. “Signing such MoUs with local universities in the country and putting them into action can contribute an excellent deal for getting into Partnership for the Goals and enhance the efforts towards achieving UN SDGs in Afghanistan. And based on this MoU, Al-Taqwa University and Rokhan Institute of Higher Education will review the progress of work under each program and collaborate in research, capacity building, and academic partnerships. "Working with local universities will help us strengthen our national network and work on strategic partnerships that clearly show our genuine efforts towards our Partnership for the Goals that supports: SDG 17," said Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, Al-Taqwa University's Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs.
The Office of International Affairs & Strategic Partnerships at Al-Taqwa University is headed by a team of dedicated academic leaders advised by the Chancellor.
