In comply with observing the international days and as part of its commitment to help in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Afghanistan, the Faculty of Economics at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education celebrated the International Labor Day on May 1st, 2024 to honor the nation's workers and their contributions to the well-being of the country in general and to appreciate the hard work and dedication of the support staff working with Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education in specific.  After World War II, the International Labor Organization (ILO), a UN agency dedicated to improving working conditions worldwide, adopted International Labor Day as an official event. International Labor Day, also known as Workers’ Day, falls on May 1st every year and is celebrated by people around the world. International Labor Day remains a vital platform to recognize the contributions of workers, advocate for their rights, and promote a fairer and more sustainable future of work for all.

‘’We heartedly recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of our workers that play a pivotal role in the advancement of teaching and learning journey across the university’’ said Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, the Dean of Economics Faculty at ATIHE.

At the end of the event, the support staff was honored with the thank you badges and flowers by the economics faculty leadership and staff.
