Al-Taqwa's Cricket Club organized a friendly cricket match between the cricket teams of the Faculties of Law and Political Science and Economics. The match was held to provide an opportunity for the students to showcase their cricketing skills and foster a healthy competitive spirit.
The Faculty of Economics won the toss and chose to bowl first. The Faculty of Law and Political Science started batting and set a target of 116 runs with a loss of 7 wickets in 10 overs in the first innings. The batsmen of the Faculty of Law and Political Science displayed exceptional batting skills, and their efforts resulted in a competitive target for the opposing team.
In the second innings, the cricket team of the Faculty of Economics took the field to chase the target set by the Faculty of Law and Political Science. The team scored 113 runs in 10 overs with the loss of 8 wickets. Despite their best efforts, the Faculty of Economics failed to surpass the target set by the Faculty of Law and Political Science, resulting in their defeat. The cricket team of the Faculty of Law and Political Science emerged victorious with a margin of three runs.
The match showcased the remarkable talents of some of the students, and as a result, the selection committee has identified the best players for the university-level team for the upcoming matches. The committee will evaluate the performance of the students and select the most deserving candidates to represent the university in future cricket tournaments.
