Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education Launches SDGs Club!
Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education is pleased to announce the launch of the SDGs Club as part of its commitment to the SDGs and promoting the culture of Sustainability in the Al-Taqwa Community and beyond. ATIHE launched the SDGs Club on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in its main Campus to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on national and international levels. The Club provides excellent opportunities for Al-Taqwa University students to gain practical leadership skills through planning, designing, and implementing sustainability projects and activities toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Afghanistan.
The SDGs club is established to advance Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education’s sustainability agenda, focusing on Reducing Poverty (SDG1), Promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), Advancing Life on Land (SDG 15) and building partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) at the university level and more. The club works collaboratively with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) office in Afghanistan, a strategic partner of ATIHE, and some other national and international organizations to integrate the SDGs in the country and beyond.
Sustainability is one of our strategic priorities at Al-Taqwa University, reflected in everything we do – from training our students on the fundamentals of sustainability to conducting cutting-edge research and ensuring that our campus operations are delivered in a sustainable and future-friendly manner. So, we call upon all our interested students to reach out and join this fascinating journey where they can enjoy taking part in different SDGs programs and activities throughout their university life at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education.
