Diploma in English Language (DEL)

DEL is a One-year English Language Diploma Program, which is designed for all those students who study English as a second language in order to meet their every day’s communicational needs. Moreover, this one-year diploma in English Language includes all the basic skills and other aspects of English Language, such as Reading, Writing, Speaking, Listening, Vocabulary, Grammar and Pronunciation, which are going to be taught by well-qualified and committed English Instructors. It is worth mentioning that at the end of this one-year program students are provided with university level diploma and transcript.

DEL Curriculum and Semesters

The Curriculum that is taught in DEL program at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, is based on Oxford University Curriculum. It is an academic English Course designed for students who want to learn the language from the basic up to advanced level.

The Books: 4000 Essential Words, Tactics for Listening, Select Reading, Academic Writing, Azar Blue, Speak Now and Tree & Three are taught in the DEL program at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education. It is a step-by-step approach to develop English language proficiency and academic skills, helping students perform at their best. The books engage and challenge students with exciting and relevant topics, using fresh, dynamic content and meaningful academic tasks. The material encourages learners to study and analyze a wide range of ideas and problems to form and express their opinions with the confidence needed to achieve academic success.

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals interested in participating in DEL program at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, need to attend a 20-minute face to face interview with the representative of the English Language Department
