Job Description:
1. Plan course instruction based on the approved syllabus/course outline provided to assure course content and learning objectives are met.
2. Design, administer, and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus and as approved by the Academic Council of the university.
3. Achieve assigned retention rate in accordance with the institution’s guidelines by maintaining accurate attendance records daily and communicating any attendance concerns to the head of department.
4. Schedule and post office hours to provide academic support to students, tutor if necessary, and provide other assistance as needed.
5. Start classes on time, conduct classes for the full time period, and abide by the applicable institution’s academic and administrative policies.
6. Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students, preferably Outcome-Based Education (OBE) & Student Centered Learning (SCL).
7. Attend departmental, faculty, and university level meetings.
8. Participate in seminars, workshops, orientations, graduation exercises, and other functions as directed.
9. Complete as directed all end of term responsibilities, including submission of final grades, copies of exam papers, attendance records, and all other designated materials to the relevant offices and departments.
10. Take the lead for any faculty-level and/or university level committees when needed.
11. Ensure that all educational activities are conducted in a legal and ethical manner.
12. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the economics faculty.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
1. Ph.D./Masters (80% + Marks is a must).
2. Must possess the necessary academic credentials mandated by university and ministry of higher education.
3. 3 to 4 years teaching experience.
4. Must secure a minimum 3.3 CGPA in Master’s Program/1st Division.
5. Years of teaching experience may be waived at the discretion of the university leadership as long as the candidate meets all requirements necessary to hold the position.
