(ATIHE) Participates in the United Nations’ 3RD Open Science International Conference.

Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, Al-Taqwa Institute Of Higher Education’s Dean Of The Faculty Of Economics Along With His Faculty Leadership And A Number Of Lecturers From The Said Faculty Participated In The United Nations’ 3rd “Open Science International Conference” Accelerating The Sustainable Development Goals & Democratizing The Record Of Science On Feb 8-10, 2023. Mr. Hayatullah Ashan (Deputy Dean), Mr. Ulfatullah Kotwal (HoD, BBA), Mr. Waseequllah Hamdard (HoD, BSc.Economics), Mr. Jehad Hussain (Head, R&D), Mr. Rahimullah Bismil (Lecturer) And Mr. Niamatullah Hayat (Lecturer) Were The Participants In The Conference From Afghanistan. On 23 November 2021, Following An Inclusive, Transparent, And Multi-Stakeholder Consultative Process, UNESCO’s Recommendation On Open Science Was Adopted By 193 Member States During The 41st Session Of The Organization’s General Conference. “This Recommendation Outlines A Common Definition, Shared Values, Principles, And Standards For Open Science At The International Level And Proposes A Set Of Actions Conducive To A Fair And Equitable Operationalization Of Open Science For All At The Individual, Institutional, National, Regional, And International Levels. From 8 To 10 February 2023, The 3rd Open Science Conference Brought Together Policymakers, Representatives Of Intergovernmental Organizations, Researchers, Scholars, Librarians, Publishers, And Civil Society. Under The Theme ‘’Accelerating The Sustainable Development Goals, Democratizing The Record Of Science’’ They Engaged In A Dialogue About The Opportunities And Challenges Of Practicing Open Science And Explore Initiatives, Themes, And Perspectives Into The Open Scientific Method And The Digital Scholarly Communications Cycle. Under The Three Main Themes: ·        Equity In Open Scholarship, ·        Reforming Scientific Publishing, And ·        Strengthening The Science-Policy-Society Interface Conference Registrants Were Able To Participate In Discussions About The Present And Future Of Open Science Practices For The SDGs And Reaffirm That Scientific Progress And Its Applications Are For The Benefit Of All. Al-Taqwa Institute Of Higher Education Recognizes That Achieving Sustainable Development Goals Is Essential To Our Students, Community, And Ultimately, Our Future Success. memorandum of understanding with The Islamic State University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang of Indonesia

Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education signs a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Islamic State University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang This memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education and The Islamic State University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang of Indonesia was signed on 28/10/2022 through an academic online conference in which the Chancellor, Prof. Khushal Jawad, Vice Academic Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, Members of the Foreign Affairs of Al- Taqwa, the Chancellor, Prof. Dr. M. Zaiuddin, MA, Vice Academic Chancellor, Dr. Isroqunnajah, MAg, Members of the Foreign Affairs of The Islamic State University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang and the representatives of more than 22 universities and companies. According to the mentioned MOU, both parties agreed to cooperate with each other in the areas of joint scientific research; students, academics, and administrative exchanges; exchange of publications, reports, and other academic materials, and information; academic seminars, workshops, and online classes; sharing of the digital library, and sharing of other activities and programs of mutual interest which are useful for both parties. Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education is committed to taking concrete steps in improving the capacity building of its students and is going to have more and more such kinds of MoUs with the top universities and organizations inside and outside of Afghanistan. Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education Launches SDGs Club!

Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education is pleased to announce the launch of the SDGs Club as part of its commitment to the SDGs and promoting the culture of Sustainability in the Al-Taqwa Community and beyond. ATIHE launched the SDGs Club on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, in its main Campus to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on national and international levels. The Club provides excellent opportunities for Al-Taqwa University students to gain practical leadership skills through planning, designing, and implementing sustainability projects and activities toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Afghanistan. The SDGs club is established to advance Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education’s sustainability agenda, focusing on Reducing Poverty (SDG1), Promoting Quality Education (SDG 4), Advancing Life on Land (SDG 15) and building partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) at the university level and more. The club works collaboratively with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) office in Afghanistan, a strategic partner of ATIHE, and some other national and international organizations to integrate the SDGs in the country and beyond. Sustainability is one of our strategic priorities at Al-Taqwa University, reflected in everything we do – from training our students on the fundamentals of sustainability to conducting cutting-edge research and ensuring that our campus operations are delivered in a sustainable and future-friendly manner. So, we call upon all our interested students to reach out and join this fascinating journey where they can enjoy taking part in different SDGs programs and activities throughout their university life at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education.
