Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education Launches Book-Reading Exhibition

Al-Taqwa Higher Education Institution (ATIHE) organized a book-reading exhibition titled "Read, Donate, and Empower,” aimed at fostering the reading culture within society.  The exhibition, which took place from November 23, 2023, to November 24, 2023, encouraged attendees to not only engage in reading but also contribute to the cause by donating books. The leadership of ATIHE generously provided a substantial number of books to ensure that others could access and benefit from them. Additionally, numerous students and avid readers participated in the exhibition, demonstrating their commitment to knowledge-sharing by generously contributing dozens of their favorite books for the benefit of others. This event highlights the commitment of ATIHE to the capacity building of its students and the development of the community.

ATIHE honored graduates who entered Nangarhar University's Master's program in 1402

Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education held a grand ceremony to honor the graduates who successfully passed to the Master's program at Nangarhar University in 1402. The event commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by an opening speech delivered by Mr. Khushal Jawad, the esteemed Chancellor of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education. The ceremony aimed to recognize the achievements of these students and inspire them to pursue further success in their future endeavors. Mr. Khushal Jawad expressed his pride in the graduates' accomplishments and emphasized the commitment of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education to fostering a promising future for its students. He extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students for their admission to the Master's program at Nangarhar University and encouraged them to strive for excellence in their academic journey. Moreover, Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, addressed the students and urged them to exert their utmost efforts in their Master's studies, just as they had done during their Bachelor's program. He conveyed his best wishes for their continued success in their academic pursuits and beyond. Furthermore, Mr. Nasir Khan Jamal, the Vice Chancellor of Students Affairs, expressed gratitude to the students for their diligent commitment to their responsibilities, resulting in their successful achievement to the Master's program at Nangarhar University. He emphasized the strong bond between Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, its students, and alumni. Mr. Jamal highlighted the institution's dedication to providing comprehensive support and facilities, such as an in-person library, electronic library, and computer lab, accessible to all students and alumni.   Representing the graduates, Mr. Muhammad Imran conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education for its unwavering support and encouragement extended to its graduates and current students. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the students who successfully passed the Master's degree program examination at Nangarhar University. 

The Academic Article of "Taliban Government and Its Efforts for Global Recognition" has been published!

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Khushal Jawad, the honored Chancellor, and Dr. Bakhtyar Halimi, a distinguished lecturer at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, have jointly published an academic article titled "Taliban Government and Its Efforts for Global Recognition" in a prestigious international journal. This publication aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education's legal document, the Ministry's strategic plan, the second standard of Quality Assurance and Accreditation (Contribution to Society and Development), and the sixth standard of Quality Assurance and Accreditation (Research). Furthermore, it is in line with two of the five parts of the strategic plan of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, namely research and carrying out international activities. As an institution, we feel a sense of responsibility to provide unwavering support to our esteemed lecturers in their research endeavors and academic article writing. We consistently encourage our faculty members to strive for excellence in these areas. Public Awareness Workshop on the Negative Effects of Drugs Delivers

A public awareness workshop on the harmful effects of drugs was conducted by The Students' Career and Counseling Center on Dec 2, 2023, targeting students from the faculties of law, political science, and economics. The workshop aimed to educate the participants about the dangers associated with drug abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle. The workshop commenced with a recitation of a few verses from the Holy Quran. Mr. Nasir Khan Jamal, Vice Chancellor of Students Affairs at Al-Taqwa Institute Higher Education, delivered the opening speech, emphasizing the importance of maintaining distance from drugs in line with the principles of our Muslim nation. He pledged that the Students' Career and Counseling Center would continue organizing similar workshops in the future to enhance students' knowledge and capacity in this area. Subsequently, Mr. Amin Stankzai, a doctor at the Nangarhar Drug Addicts Regional Hospital, delivered a comprehensive presentation on drugs and their detrimental effects on individuals, society, and the community's economy. With expertise in the field, Mr. Stankzai provided the participants with detailed information on various types of drugs, their mechanisms of action, and the physical and psychological consequences of drug abuse. He also shed light on the factors contributing to drug addiction and discussed preventive measures to safeguard our youth from these harmful substances.   Following the presentation, the participants actively engaged in an interactive session, posing pertinent questions related to the topic. Mr. Stankzai expertly addressed each query, providing accurate and evidence-based responses. This session fostered a deeper understanding of the subject matter and encouraged a dialogue among the participants.

Workshop on Bloom’s Taxonomy Delivered to Faculty

Workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy Delivers for the Faculty The workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy was conducted in collaboration with the Professional Development Center at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education with the objective of enhancing the teaching and learning methodologies of lecturers from the Faculties of Law and Political Science/Economics on Nov 22, 2023. The workshop commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Following the recitation, Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat addressed the seminar participants, highlighting the importance of continuous professional development for graduate students, administrative staff, and faculty. He emphasized the need for similar workshops and seminars in the future to enhance their working skills and knowledge. Furthermore, Mr. Fawad Aryan, a lecturer at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, presented the workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy to the participants. He provided a comprehensive overview of Bloom's Taxonomy, explaining its relevance and practical application in the fields of Law and Political Science/Economics. The participants were introduced to the six levels of cognitive learning: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating. They were encouraged to analyze and assess their existing course objectives and assessments, aligning them with the appropriate levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. This exercise allowed them to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to ensure their teaching practices aligned with higher-order thinking skills. Mr. Aryan shared practical strategies for integrating Bloom's Taxonomy into teaching methodologies. He emphasized the importance of scaffolding, effective questioning techniques, and the use of authentic assessments to promote critical thinking among students.   The workshop's success demonstrates the commitment of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education to providing quality education and professional development opportunities for its faculty members. The knowledge and skills gained from the workshop will undoubtedly contribute to improved teaching practices and enhanced student learning outcomes. Overall, the workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy provided a valuable opportunity for lecturers to enhance their pedagogical practices, paving the way for improved student learning experiences and outcomes in the Faculties of Law and Political Science/Economics.

The Faculty of (ATIHE) were provided with The SPSS Workshop!

The Professional Development Center, in collaboration with the Research and Development Center at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education (ATIHE), organized an academic workshop focused on the utilization of SPSS Software on Nov 20, 2023. The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the institute's leadership and faculty members. The workshop commenced with an inaugural speech by Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education. Dr. Seerat delivered a comprehensive address, emphasizing the significance of professional development and its pivotal role in the academic growth of lecturers and administration. He reiterated the institute's commitment to providing ample opportunities for the professional advancement of all faculty and staff members. Mr. Mohammad Naseer Haidari, the Head of the Research and Development Center at ATIHE, led the workshop sessions. Mr. Haidari provided detailed insights into the functionalities of SPSS, including the Data Editor, Output Viewer, Syntax Editor, and Script Window. The workshop spanned three days, offering a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The SPSS workshop successfully concluded, equipping participants with enhanced proficiency in utilizing the software for data analysis and statistical modeling. At the conclusion of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the program.   The Professional Development Center and the Research and Development Center at ATIHE remain dedicated to fostering continuous growth and providing valuable learning opportunities for the institute's faculty and staff.
