Workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy Delivers for the Faculty The workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy was conducted in collaboration with the Professional Development Center at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education with the objective of enhancing the teaching and learning methodologies of lecturers from the Faculties of Law and Political Science/Economics on Nov 22, 2023. The workshop commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Following the recitation, Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat addressed the seminar participants, highlighting the importance of continuous professional development for graduate students, administrative staff, and faculty. He emphasized the need for similar workshops and seminars in the future to enhance their working skills and knowledge. Furthermore, Mr. Fawad Aryan, a lecturer at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education, presented the workshop on Bloom's Taxonomy to the participants. He provided a comprehensive overview of Bloom's Taxonomy, explaining its relevance and practical application in the fields of Law and Political Science/Economics. The participants were introduced to the six levels of cognitive learning: Remembering, Understanding, Applying, Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating. They were encouraged to analyze and assess their existing course objectives and assessments, aligning them with the appropriate levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. This exercise allowed them to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to ensure their teaching practices aligned with higher-order thinking skills. Mr. Aryan shared practical strategies for integrating Bloom's Taxonomy into teaching methodologies. He emphasized the importance of scaffolding, effective questioning techniques, and the use of authentic assessments to promote critical thinking among students.   The workshop's success demonstrates the commitment of Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education to providing quality education and professional development opportunities for its faculty members. The knowledge and skills gained from the workshop will undoubtedly contribute to improved teaching practices and enhanced student learning outcomes. The Faculty of (ATIHE) were provided with The SPSS Workshop!

The Professional Development Center, in collaboration with the Research and Development Center at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education (ATIHE), organized an academic workshop focused on the utilization of SPSS Software on Nov 20, 2023. The workshop aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the institute's leadership and faculty members. The workshop commenced with an inaugural speech by Dr. Abdul Hameed Seerat, the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Al-Taqwa Institute of Higher Education. Dr. Seerat delivered a comprehensive address, emphasizing the significance of professional development and its pivotal role in the academic growth of lecturers and administration. He reiterated the institute's commitment to providing ample opportunities for the professional advancement of all faculty and staff members. Mr. Mohammad Naseer Haidari, the Head of the Research and Development Center at ATIHE, led the workshop sessions. Mr. Haidari provided detailed insights into the functionalities of SPSS, including the Data Editor, Output Viewer, Syntax Editor, and Script Window. The workshop spanned three days, offering a balanced blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The SPSS workshop successfully concluded, equipping participants with enhanced proficiency in utilizing the software for data analysis and statistical modeling. At the conclusion of the workshop, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their active participation and successful completion of the program.   The Professional Development Center and the Research and Development Center at ATIHE remain dedicated to fostering continuous growth and providing valuable learning opportunities for the institute's faculty and staff.

Study-tour to Maihan Steel Mill - Kabul

Steel production is one of the most significant industries of a country. Most of today’s advanced nations have had speedy economic growth after they have established the steel industry. This has been the case with both South Korea and Taiwan. The establishment of such important industry in Afghanistan is challenging on one hand and promising on the other. On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the Department of Business Administration (BBA) arranged an academic tour to Maihan Steel Mill, one of the first steel manufacturers in the country, so that the students of business and economics could see the methods of managing steel companies and comprehend the important role of steel industry in the economic development of the country. After the students toured the production chain and other facilities of the factory, the leadership of Maihan Steel Mill, sat with them for the lunch. They explained the importance of steel industry for Afghanistan’s rebuilding efforts and encouraged the students to pursue their education with interest and enthusiasm. “Since the country is moving towards development and there is need for a young and bright cadre to lead the rebuilding efforts,” said Dr. Sayed Abdul Moiz, Al-Taqwa University’s Dean for the Faculty of Economics.At the end of the tour, Dr. Abdul Moiz thanked Maihan Steel’s external relations representative (Mr. Hamid Fazly) for the hospitality and his sincere cooperation in facilitation of the visit.   Towards a Promising Future…
